He was also the COO of Petrie Ross Ventures LLC and CEO of the 2000 Republican National Convention. Before joining the private sector, Mr. DiPaula occupied several top positions in the public sector. He served at the State of Maryland as the Chief of Staff for Governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. and as the Secretary of Maryland Department of Budget and Management where he oversaw the state's financial operations.
