Manny Hernandez is a seasoned professional in the fields of culture, inclusion, and social impact. With more than two decades of experience under his belt, his expertise lies in helping organizations create people-centric experiences, products, and content. One of the early employees at Livongo, he played a key role in growing the company from 50 to over 600 employees, going through two M&As and an IPO on NASDAQ. Over the years, he held several SVP roles that shaped the company, including Product Manager for the first-ever Glucose Meter with Over-the-Air capabilities, Creator of a direct-to-consumer channel for Livongo for Diabetes, and builder of the Learning & Development and Workplace functions from scratch. He has also led Diversity & Inclusion, Recognition, and Volunteering initiatives at Livongo.

Before Livongo, Manny co-founded the Diabetes Hands Foundation (DHF), a nonprofit dedicated to preventing people living with diabetes from feeling alone. Under his leadership, DHF became a global leader in diabetes social media and an influential group in diabetes advocacy, with an annual reach of 3 million people through TuDiabetes.org and EsTuDiabetes.org. A published author and advocate, Manny is a recognized speaker on the power of community to drive social impact at conferences hosted by International Diabetes Federation, American Diabetes Association, Novartis, Roche, UC Berkeley, Yale University, SXSW, and Health 2.0.

Manny has an extensive educational background, including a Diversity and Inclusion for HR Certificate and an Executive Leadership certificate, both from Cornell University. He also studied for an MBA at Arizona State University and has a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. Additionally, he has a Bachiller in Ciencias from Colegio La Salle-La Colina.

Currently, Manny serves as the VP of People and Culture at Tidepool, where he continues to grow his expertise in culture and inclusion. He also co-chairs the American Diabetes Association's California/Hawaii Community Leadership Board and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Diabetic Living Magazine. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Diabetes Hands Foundation and as Codechairof the Living with Diabetes stream in the 2015 World Diabetes Congress in Vancouver.
