Steve Hernandez

Steve Hernandez is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in leadership roles focused on career programming, advising, transition, job search, executive coaching, and recruitment.

Currently, Steve serves as the Director of Career Advancement at The Wharton School's MBA for Executives program in San Francisco, where he is responsible for coaching students and designing, developing, and delivering two years of career programming for 200 Wharton ExecMBA students and alumni on the west coast.

Before joining Wharton, Steve worked as an adjunct career advisor for UC Berkeley Haas/Columbia and Evening Weekend Executive MBA programs. He also has a background as a partner at an executive search firm, assisting Bay Area companies in identifying, screening, and hiring professionals across various levels.

Steve possesses deep knowledge across multiple industries, including banking, financial services, software, professional services, retail, consumer goods, biotechnology, energy, and non-profit sectors.

Since 2004, Steve has been actively coaching executive, mid-life, and mid-career professionals in one-on-one, group, and workshop settings on areas such as professional development, self-assessment, transition, workforce re-entry, career planning, and job search.

Steve holds a Master's degree in Career Development from John F. Kennedy University and is certified in 360 Assessment through The Center for Creative Leadership.
