With a Masters in Electrical Engineering from New York University and a Bachelors from Manhattan College, Scott has held various leadership roles throughout his career. As the CTO at Vela, he currently serves as a trusted executive business partner in delivering new products and services while reducing operational risks and increasing revenues.

With a track record of success in building, mentoring, and motivating cross-functional teams, Scott is an accomplished leader driving operational excellence and efficiency through continuous process improvement, innovation, and technology-linked business and product development. Prior to his current role at Vela, he co-founded MarketOpen and served as the SVP IT - Head of NYSE Technology at Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., Managing Director Equities IT at BNP Paribas, Director Equity Derivatives IT at Credit Suisse, IT Global System Manager at Standard & Poor's Comstock, and also worked as an IT software consultant at Bedford Associates and as an Engineering Consultant at IBM TJ Watson Research.
