Monterey Gardiner is a seasoned transportation technology and policy professional with a doctorate and masters degrees from the University of California, Davis, in addition to a degree in engineering and materials science. Over the years, she has worked with renowned organizations where she has honed her skills in hydrogen and eMobility engineering, fuel cell technology, and safety engineering. Gardiner is a former senior hydrogen and eMobility engineer at BMW, a former technology development manager at the US Department of Energy, and a former fuel cell vehicle fleet manager at Hyundai.
More recently, Gardiner has been working at the Nikola Motor Company as a senior fuel cell and hydrogen technical specialist. Additionally, she has served as a fellow in group 16 at Mike and Maureen Mansfield Foundation, and a researcher at both Nanomix and UC Davis's Institute of Transportation Studies.
