Erik Akers is a seasoned network design engineer with extensive experience in information technology and telecommunications industries. He has a broad range of skills in network architecture, planning, design, implementation, and support of local, metro, and global wide area networks, with a solid focus on optical transport technologies. With a degree in Bachelor of Science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Erik exhibits core competencies which include exceptional communication, team cohesiveness, organization, process development, project, and vendor management. Erik’s professional experience includes serving as a Senior Network Design Engineer at AT&T, Transport Network Specialist at HP, WAN Infrastructure Support at Electronic Data Systems, Network Hardware Planner at Sabre, and other notable roles in different organizations.
