Troy A. Paredes is a seasoned attorney, consultant, and academic who has had an illustrious career in the fields of financial regulation, compliance, risk management, governance, and securities law. As the founder of Paredes Strategies LLC, he provides expert advisory services to banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, and exchanges, as well as non-financial services firms, on navigating the complex regulatory landscape, improving their compliance programs, and enhancing their business strategies.

Prior to establishing his consultancy practice, Paredes served as a Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he championed small business interests, capital formation, and cost-benefit analysis, and worked on several key rulemaking and enforcement initiatives.
