Laurie Powers is a driven and accomplished marketing project manager for event programs with extensive experience in organizational strategy and planning, project management, and marketing and communications. With strong leadership skills and an ability to lead diverse groups and achieve impactful results on strict timelines and budgets, she possesses a remarkable capacity to manage multiple simultaneous projects to successful completion and overcome obstacles with creative solutions. Her broad expertise in technology platforms and tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, content management systems, and Cvent event management system, also demonstrate her ability to be a quick learner and adapt to new environments.

Powers received her Post Degree Diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo, a BA in Art History from the University of British Columbia, and an MA in Political Science from the University of Guelph.
