Business Development Manager at Tonkin

I am currently the National Business Development Manager and part of Tonkin's Executive Leadership Team. In this role I am responsible for Growth and Client Management duties as part of the wider Strategic Plan. This includes developing and implementing Focus Client management plans, tendering and bid preparation, marketing, branding and overall strategic positioning of Tonkin within the consultancy sector.

Business Development Manager

In July of 2018, Tonkin Consulting completed a merger with TLB Engineers. This merger provided a significant technical boost to both firms, with TLB being a highly regarded structural engineering firm in Sydney. 
I acted as the Integration Manager between the two firms, ensuring both companies could come together with aligned systems of Project Management, Quality Management and WHS. Overall, and most importantly, we wanted to create a culture of 'One Tonkin', with everyone feeling part of the same team. By providing a conduit between the two firms, I was able to bring Tonkin and TLB together to create a successful merger.

Integration Manager

I relocated to Mildura in November of 2015 to establish Tonkin Consulting's first office in Victoria. The decision was made to open an office in Mildura as part of Tonkin's strategy for geographic diversification and growth, as well as off-the-back of the Sunraysia Modernisation Project with Lower Murray Water.
Over the 3 years in the role, I was able to establish Tonkin as a well respected local engineering service provider. This included growing the office from one employee to seven employees by November of 2018.
