He began his career working on boats in Alaska in 1999 and has worked across the globe since then. Throughout his years at sea, Jake has developed a deep passion for travel and has explored many corners of the world. In 2015, he relocated to Portland Oregon, where he brought together his travel experience to found Tripgrid.

Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, Jake has held various roles, including Dynamic Positioning Officer at Seadrill Careers, Captain at Edison Chouest Offshore, and Chief Mate at Majestic America Lines. His experience in these positions has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge and skills essential to running his own business.
