Director of Technology Innovation

- Founded and led the development of “Megiddo” Massively Threaded X86 Core IP. Megiddo has a 100X thread density (by #threads/mm2) compared to Intel Core™. It is from the ground up new design, scalable from High Performance Computing (HPC), through Xeon™ mainstream product lines, down to Automotive and further to Low Power Devices e.g. Smartphones & IoT.  - Megiddo Core IP demonstrated breakthrough performance, energy efficiency and software productivity benefits attested in multiple Xeon™/Xeon Phi ™ microprocessor market segments e.g. Graph, BigData, Machine Leaning/AI, Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, ImDB/OLTP, Visual Computing and Packet Processing Applications. - Product Management: defined all key hardware & software definition; comprehensive of X86 compatibility, ISA, IP technology and segments roadmap. On the software side: programming model & enabling strategy i.e. compiler, debugger, runtimes, libraries and target applications / market segments. - Business Development: both inbound and outbound. Externally, facing tier-1 OEM’s and ISV’s including Apple, Oracle, Google, SAP, DreamWorks Animations, Adobe, Sony, Panasonic, Fujitsu, NEC and others. Internally, in collaboration with Intel’s Business Units, developed go-to-market, CPU SoC strategy, financials and business model.- Product Marketing: oversaw marketing collaterals development both technical and brand identity related.  - Management & Leadership: Member of Intel’s IP Group Architecture Staff.  Established and grew Megiddo team, organically, mostly based on new hires, from inception to ~45 employees. - Engineering Management: managed Hardware & Software Architecture, Micro-Architecture,  CPU Cycle Accurate Simulation development, Silicon and Workloads Analysis Power/Performance validation.

Director of X86 Throughput Microprocessor Core IP, IP Group Architecture

- Ideated, Strategized & established Intel’s Perceptual Computing direction foreseeing future high bandwidth sensors and actuators computational demands.- Defined Intel’s RealSense™  3D Imaging Z-Camera & Computer Vision product offering. - Defined Intel’s 2D Imaging stills and video pipeline stages from image acquisition to post processing.- Led key 3rd parties engagements and primarily Hollywood’s studios and technology powerhouses (e.g. Digital Domain) to learn and validate Perceptual Computing required core technology capabilities. - Perceptual Computing was adopted in 2010 as Intel strategy, at the corporate level, to reinvigorate  the PC market, effectively foreseeing AR/VR thrust.  This led to the formation of 2 new Intel organizations: Perceptual Computing & Imaging. - In 2014 Perceptual Computing corporate strategy became widely published in Intel's 2014 annual report

Senior CPU Product Manager - Perceptual Computing

- Ideated, Strategised and established Intel’s Media and Display Post Processing dedicated hardware accelerators direction.  The multi format Fixed Functions centered strategy was a complete departure from Intel’s programmable approach and met firm internal opposition.- Defined Intel’s Quick Sync™  accelerated encode/decode formats and display image enhancement pipeline stages.-  In addition, key major standalone technologies were defined and productized e.g. Frame Rate Conversion.- Oversaw tier-1 key OEM’s and ISV’s engagements. Engaged Apple as lead OEM and turned initial skepticism both in general direction and technology specifics to enthusiasm.- Trading significant silicon cost and R&D investment for step function battery life, performance and power improvements proved pivotal in driving premium design wins, form factors and ASP gains.- This led to the formation of Intel’s media organization.

Senior CPU Product Manager (Media Hardware Acclerators)

An Israeli stat-up company developing self-managed distributed storage software and system. Madaba architecture matched commodity-of-the-shelf (COTS) storage subsystems (JBOD, etc.) with state of the art Forward Erasure Codes, block level virtualization and intelligent data migration schemes. The combination of COTS Hardware and Intelligent Software enabled self-managed, high availability enterprise grade storage system at low operational cost.

Founder & CEO

An Israeli start-up company with US based business headquarters. Bandwiz operated in the field of Content Delivery Networks (CDN) applying state of the art Forward Erasure Codes (FEC) to broadcast, multicast and P2P networks. Bandwiz products enabled efficient transmission of Internet content, be it video or web pages, to simultaneous large numbers of users.  My contributions centered on company formation, raising its 1st round of finance, product definition and hiring its key technologists backbone. Bandwiz raised ~$17M in 2 major rounds of finance throughout 1999-2000. The company was shutdown in 2005.
