Welket Bungué is a multi-talented Portuguese-Guinean actor, performer, screenwriter, director, and author. He graduated in Theatre from the School of Theatre and Cinema in Lisbon and also completed a post-graduate degree in Arts of Performance from the Universidade Federal do estado do Rio de Janeiro. A member of the Portuguese Film Academy, Welket made his acting debut in 2006 and has since worked on several films and short projects with renowned directors in Portugal, Brazil, and India. Some of his notable works include 'JOAQUIM', 'CARTAS DA GUERRA', 'A ILHA DOS CÃES', 'BASTIEN', 'SOBRE VIVÊNCIA', 'A DANÇA DE SÍSIFO', 'ALMA', 'BICHO', 'BUÔN', etc. Along with acting, he has also written and directed several short films, including 'BASTIEN'. He co-founded Shortcutz Rio de Janeiro, an urban Art and short film festival, and continues to collaborate with Portuguese productions. Currently based out of London and Rio de Janeiro, Welket Bungué is an accomplished artist with an impressive portfolio.
