David Butler is a seasoned real estate investment professional with over 23 years of experience, closing over $5 billion worth of real estate transactions. Currently serving as the Managing Partner of Argosy Real Estate Partners, he is responsible for overseeing the firm's investment strategy, asset management, and operations. Butler is a member of the firm's Investment Committee and Management Committee.

Argosy Real Estate Partners is a private equity fund manager that focuses on opportunistic, value-add, and core-plus real estate investments in the lower middle market. The firm invests in multifamily, lodging, office, retail, industrial, and residential land assets, making joint venture equity investments alongside operating partners. Under Butler's leadership, Argosy Real Estate Partners has grown its portfolio to approximately $1.3 billion worth of real estate assets.

Butler's expertise in real estate investment has gained him recognition in the industry, holding leadership positions in various organizations. He is currently serving as the President and a Member of the Board of Directors of Stanford Professionals in Real Estate (SPIRE). As Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of the Stanford Alumni Real Estate Council (SREC), he manages a group of approximately 100 influential Stanford alumni in the real estate industry. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of St. Helena and Calistoga.

Butler holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School and a Dual Degree - Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Civil Engineering and Economics from Stanford University.
