James Young
James Young is an expert in energy issues for building systems, with extensive experience evaluating emerging technologies, creating market assessments, and providing program support. He has worked with utilities, government agencies, manufacturers, and private businesses in the development of GHG emissions reduction strategies. Young studied Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Energy Systems at the University of Notre Dame before receiving a Master of Science in Sustainable Engineering, Alternative and Renewable Energy Technology from Villanova University.
Currently, James is the Associate Director of Energy Technology Innovation and Management at Guidehouse - previously known as Navigant. In the past, he held roles such as Indirect Sales Engineering Intern at Boland Trane and HVAC Assistant Engineer at J.A. Young Company. James Young's expertise in energy technologies has been utilized by electric and gas utilities and R&D organizations to evaluate low-carbon technologies and develop GHG emissions reduction strategies in response to local regulatory and policy drivers.
