Dirk Weyel is a successful serial entrepreneur with a thriving career in the gaming and digital entertainment industry. Starting in the music industry, Weyel shifted to the gaming sector in 1999, co-founding a marketing and localization agency, which established itself as one of the leading independent ventures in the industry. In 2005, he co-founded Frogster Interactive, a Berlin-based games company that grew into one of the leading publishers of Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMO) in Europe, which was later publicly listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Weyel was the COO of Frogster Interactive and was responsible for strategic marketing, business development, and corporate communications. After leaving Frogster in 2011, he founded Stryking Entertainment GmbH, which focused on developing free-to-play online and mobile games for sports fans, creating genuine interaction opportunities for fans, stars, and brands. In 2019, Stryking successfully sold their first set of rare Bayern Munich player cards as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and was sold to leading blockchain gaming company Animoca Brands.

Currently, Weyel is the co-founder and CEO of Fanzone Media GmbH, where he plans to build a leading fan experience destination for sports fans across the globe. Fanzone is currently developing a platform to connect fans with their favorite stars and teams through digital collectibles secured on the blockchain. Weyel is also an active business angel and strategic advisor to startups in the sports and digital entertainment sector.
