Georges Sassine

Georges Sassine, a tri-sector leader, is making waves globally by driving solutions to large-scale problems and leveraging the strength of all sectors. With over a decade of experience in the energy industry, Georges has worked in various roles including engineering, marketing, business development, public policy, and investment strategy. He is also known as a communication and storytelling enthusiast and has published pieces in various renowned publications such as the Financial Times, Huffington Post, and CNN. He is a former Managing Director at Techstars, has co-founded an on-demand marketplace startup, and mentored startups through Argonne National Lab and Techstars. As an academic, he has a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, an MPP focused on Energy & Finance from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and certification in Energy Ventures/Entrepreneurship from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Georges currently serves as a board member at Atlas Energy Systems and has a book deal with Harvard University Press on Moonshot Climate Innovations with a former US Deputy Undersecretary of Energy as co-author.
