Amelia Burroughs
Amelia Burroughs is an accomplished attorney, specializing in employment law, medical malpractice defense, personal injury, consumer, and complex litigation. She joined Janssen Malloy, LLP in 2007 as an Associate Attorney, later becoming a Partner at the firm in 2011. Burroughs is a Humboldt County native and proud alumna of CSU Sacramento and McGeorge School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the McGeorge Law Review. She has been admitted to all U.S. District Courts in California, and holds active membership in the Humboldt County Bar Association. Burroughs was part of the trial team in Lavender v. Skilled Healthcare - the largest jury verdict ever awarded in Humboldt County, making her a recipient of The Public Justice Foundation's 2011 Trial Lawyer of the Year. She was also selected for the 2011 Rising Stars list for Northern California. In her free time, Burroughs enjoys spending time with her family and taking in the beauty of the Northern California outdoors.
