Erik Norris is a results-oriented mechanical designer with extensive experience in mechanical design and product development, having worked on over 40 successful consumer products. He is proficient in Pro/ENGINEER and SolidWorks and has a talent for complex 3D surfacing, problem-solving, and design optimization. Erik's expertise lies in a wide range of part designs, including plastic injection molding, sheet metal forming, die-cut, elastomer, and more. Additionally, he is well-versed in engineering functional prototyping, design analysis, thermal analysis, and testing.
Erik started his professional journey as a mechanical designer at SGI, progressing up to senior mechanical designer at Mechanistic. During his professional tenure, Erik has made significant contributions as a senior mechanical design engineer at Digidesign, a senior mechanical design engineer at Kaleidescape, and a senior mechanical engineer at Avegant. Prior to joining Mechanistic, he served as a senior mechanical engineer at Noon Home.
Erik received his education from Max Cameron Secondary School, Palo Alto High School (Paly), and De Anza College.
