Vernon Barback

Vernon Barback is a prominent figure in the financial industry, boasting an impressive career that spans various high-profile positions and organizations.

He served as a Founding Partner of AltB Partners LP from 2012 to 2015, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills.

Prior to that, Vernon excelled as the president and chief operating officer at GlobeOp Financial Services from 2004 to 2012, where he also made significant contributions as a member of the management committee.

His journey in the financial world began at Citigroup Asset Management in 1999, where he held the position of Global Head of Operations and Technology, demonstrating his expertise in managing complex financial operations.

With over two decades of experience at Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank, Vernon honed his skills in senior management roles, serving as a managing director in proprietary trading for 11 years.

One of his notable achievements includes spearheading the establishment of the first US bank-operated hedge fund business in 1988, which he successfully grew to $1 billion in outside capital by 1992.
