    Karen Kiene is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in design, strategy, and program leadership. She holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, an MBA in International Management and Marketing from Boston University, and has studied Project Management at the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, she has pursued studies in Mandarin Chinese at Zhejiang University and Shaanxi Normal University, as well as completing the International Baccalaureate program at Li Po Chun United World College.

She has served as a Consultant at UNICEF, a Social Innovation Consultant, and a Senior Producer at R/GA, with a dedicated research sabbatical in Circular Economy at R/GA. Furthermore, she has contributed as a Non-profit Marketing Advisor at Whirlwind Wheelchair International, an Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, and as an Educational Experience Designer at Quatrefoil Associates. Her industrial design expertise has been put to use at the Smithsonian Institution and with Clientele in medical, toy, and furniture industries.
