Joshua Foer is a prominent author, journalist, and entrepreneur known for his diverse contributions to literature, science, and Jewish education. He co-founded Sefaria, a digital library of Jewish texts, in 2011 and currently serves as its Chairman.14 Foer is also the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Atlas Obscura, a guide to the world's wonders and curiosities.14
Born in Washington, D.C. in 1982, Foer graduated from Yale University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Evolution.13 He gained widespread recognition for winning the U.S. Memory Championship in 2006, which inspired his bestselling book "Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything".24
As a science journalist, Foer's writing has appeared in prestigious publications such as The New Yorker, National Geographic, Esquire, and The New York Times.13 He has been recognized for his contributions to literature and Jewish education, including being named one of the "50 Most Influential Jewish Leaders" by The Forward.6
