    Joseph Sabban

    Fondateur des lunettes Tropique

Joseph Sabban, a renowned optician, was born in Tunisia into a family of opticians - his father Edmond Sabban and his grandfather Joseph Sabban - which instilled in him a deep passion for the profession from a young age.

In 1973, armed with his diploma, Joseph opened his first optical store in Paris, marking the beginning of his successful career in the field.

In 1975, a pivotal encounter with a team of Pediatric Ophthalmologists from Paris and other regions, pioneers in early visual disorder screenings for infants, led Joseph to create Tropique glasses specifically designed for very young children.

Under their guidance, Joseph Sabban introduced the first French and European eyewear for children, revolutionizing the industry.

Educationally, Joseph Sabban pursued his studies in Optician Optometrist Techniques at Fresnel, further honing his skills and knowledge in the field.

Passionate about his work and innovative in his approach, Joseph Sabban founded Tropique, an organization dedicated to providing specialized eyewear solutions for young children.
