    Jim Disanto

    Jim Disanto is a seasoned Silicon Valley tech executive and entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in enterprise software, mobile applications, location-based services, sensors, and automotive systems.

    Jim co-founded and led KonaWare, a mobile applications pioneer in transportation/logistics, which was acquired by Yamei Electronics. He joined Yamei as a board director/GM, forming strategic partnerships with auto OEMs and Tier1s before Yamei was acquired by Trimble Navigation.

    Previously, Jim co-founded Simplexity Wireless, a leading MNVO, and Vicinity (VCNT), one of the first web location-based services, acquired by Microsoft for MapPoint.

    Currently, Jim is the co-founder and MD of Motus Ventures, a venture capital firm funding businesses focused on AI, Robotics, and IoT. He serves or served as a Board Member/Observer or Advisor to companies like Waze, Auto-Talks, Quanergy, Doorman, Metawave, and Argus Cyber Security.

    Jim has built extensive executive and technical relationships with various entities and formed collaborative partnerships with research groups and institutions for technology commercialization and new business ventures.

    Jim holds bachelor's degrees in Aerospace and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Stanford University. He resides in Portola Valley with two daughters and enjoys snowboarding, sailing, golfing, and tending his vineyard.
