Hossa Skandary-Macpherson

Hossa Skandary-Macpherson is a multilingual individual with a diverse background, hailing from Kabul and having lived in various countries including India, Russia, Belgium, the USA, the UK, and the UAE.

With a strong background in education and the third sector, Hossa is deeply involved in charitable work, currently working with the charity Cyrenians to support vulnerable adults, specifically Afghan refugees in Aberdeen.

She plays a pivotal role as a trustee at the Aberdeen Multicultural Centre, overseeing Public Relations and Marketing, and has also founded a social enterprise called ertebot, focusing on engaging the Afghan diaspora community.

Hossa is pursuing her academic interests by studying International Relations and French at the University of Aberdeen, building upon her earlier education in Public Relations, Languages, and International Relations.

Her professional experience includes roles such as Support Practitioner at Aberdeen Cyrenians, Boarding House Parent at Dollar Academy, French Instructor and Boarding Tutor at Wellington College, and French Teacher at Repton Dubai School.
