Ellen Chisa is a multifaceted entrepreneur with a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as Human-centered Design and Engineering, holding an MBA from Harvard Business School. Currently, Ellen is a Founder-in-Residence at boldstart Ventures, where she invests and supports founders in pre-product, developer-focused, and enterprise companies. Prior to joining boldstart, Ellen worked at Blade as an EIR, where she seeded the work for what became Lola. She has worked on backer-facing projects at Kickstarter, the first versions of Office for non-Microsoft phone platforms, and founded her own startup, Dark. She also held advisor positions in Flybridge Capital Partners and Global Shapers Community. She currently lives in Somerville, MA, with her husband and cat Gutenberg.
