Outset is a fully funded and free programme to help you set up and grow your business through a combination of workshops, online resources and advisor support. If you have an idea and are looking to test it out, or have recently started trading and need some business advice, this two-stage programme will guide you through the process.

Introduction to Enterprise: Covers the fundamentals of setting up your business by helping you understand how to test the market, think of who your customers are, and where to sell. By the end of these sessions you will have completed all the basic learning to help you create a business plan for your new start-up.

Business Start Up: These sessions cover specific essential topics in more detail, such as social media; website design; start-up finance; and many more. From these in-depth workshops, you will learn more about how to reach your prospective customers and develop a successful business.

Outset Online: Our excellent online platform is full of great content and exercises to work through in your own time. We also facilitate groups on here so that you can communicate with those you have met in workshops, and other entrepreneurs nationally… A fantastic way to build a network of like-minded people.

Enterprise Advisor

GetSet for Growth is a funded project that supports ambitious SMEs that are looking to grow, whether this is by accessing new markets or attaining investment.

Key Personal Activities Include:
-  Supporting 100+ clients through 1-2-1 meetings and remote support
-  Creating, organising and hosting a range of workshops on business and marketing strategy for SME business owners
-  Organising events for clients and partners
-  Attending and speaking at regular events across the Bristol region to support SMEs and build profile

Formed the UWE Entrepreneurs Society alongside fellow students and held the role of Treasurer. This involved allocating budget for events and campaigns and helping with their development.

Working to establish and create awareness for the event by building partnerships with societies, local businesses and social enterprises. As well as being heavily involved in the creation and development of the event.

The event looks to celebrate the work of students of the University of the West of England and local people while creating a legacy for the future and inspiring the next generation.

Within this I had two articles published in the magazines that were read by a very large audience across the UK.
