Joel Christiansen is a passionate indie video game designer who earned his Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from the University of Texas and Film Studies from the University of Nebraska. He's invested in the creative process and seeing his imaginative ideas come to life as charming and engaging games. Joel's Dog Theory design philosophy is to approach everything with curious playfulness and creativity, always trust the process, create honesty and fearlessly, be kind, humble and real. He has experience working as an Artist/Designer for his self-founded game design project, led as a User Interface Design Intern for SEVEN Networks, worked as an Environmental Artist for Incinerator Studios, and practiced 3D art with Koios Works. Looking to the future, Joel plans to continue designing innovative video games, building on what he has learned and insights gained with the hope to inspire others to have fun and be creative.
