    Chris Gross is a Senior Manufacturing leader with a strong background in launching new operations and a focus on bringing happiness to people while contributing to a better future.

    During his time at Tesla Motors, Chris played a pivotal role in launching the powertrain manufacturing organization. He was instrumental in building the battery assembly team and drive unit manufacturing organization in his initial two years, followed by successfully establishing and managing the Vehicle Assembly operations in the subsequent two years.

    Before his tenure at Tesla, Chris gained valuable experience working with multiple startups in the Solar industry, where he was involved in building two high-volume factories. The largest of these factories produced over 1,000,000 solar cells per week.

    Chris started his career at Applied Materials, where he designed manufacturing lines and introduced new products in the semiconductor equipment industry.

    Education wise, Chris pursued an MBA from Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business and studied Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Operations Research at the University of California, Berkeley.

    Throughout his career, Chris has held key positions in various organizations, including Vice President of Manufacturing at Wrightspeed, Co-Founder at The Happy Labs, Managing Partner at RFA Consulting - Operations, Director Of Manufacturing at Chanje, Sr. Manager - NPI Operations at Fitbit, and several roles at Tesla Motors, including Sr. Manager Vehicle Assembly, Manager Powertrain Operations, and NPI Program Manager. He also served in roles at Twin Creeks Technologies, Inc, Miasole, and Applied Materials.
