Carlos Espinal

Carlos Eduardo is a Seed Investor & Partner at Seedcamp, actively involved in the startup ecosystem. He is a mobile technology enthusiast, blogger, and passionate about photography and hiking. With a background in Engineering and Industrial Management, Carlos has led various initiatives and investments in tech companies.

In his role as Partner at Seedcamp, Carlos has spearheaded numerous projects such as Seedsummit.org, Seedhack, and the Seedcamp Academy program. He is also the brains behind the Seedcamp Podcast series and the author of the Fundraising Fieldguide book, aiming to guide founders through the fundraising journey.

Carlos Eduardo's investment portfolio includes over 200 companies, notably Transferwise, Farmeron, and Property Partner. His contributions extend beyond funding, as he actively supports startups through organizing and leading investment meetups across Europe and Hong Kong.

Education-wise, Carlos attended Woodberry Forest School for his High School education, pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Babson College specializing in Finance, and holds a BS in Industrial Management with a minor in Engineering Studies from Carnegie Mellon University.

Prior to his current role at Seedcamp, Carlos worked as a Venture Capitalist at Doughty Hanson and held engineering positions at NYSE Euronext and Baltimore Technologies. His diverse background in finance, engineering, and management equips him with a well-rounded perspective in the startup investment landscape.
