Andrew Kinkella is an accomplished archaeologist with over 27 years of experience, focusing his research on the Classic Maya period in the jungles of west-central Belize. His primary research is centered around investigating how the ancient Maya utilized cenotes for water rituals in the Cara Blanca region of Belize. He has conducted extensive underwater exploration of 25 cenotes using diving equipment to map and analyze these water-filled sinkholes.
