Aaron Smelsky is a highly skilled aerospace engineer with a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). His focus in computer aided design and aerodynamics has led him to excel in teaching the design for manufacturing and assembly course at ERAU.
His experience includes a minor in CAD, specializing in 3D rapid prototyping using CATIA V5. Through teaching the DFMA course, Aaron has gained practical knowledge in designing cost-effective and efficient parts, further solidifying his applied CAD knowledge.
During his time at Dassault Falcon jet, Aaron honed his team skills, both as a lead and a team player with a high level of ambition and flexibility. His passion for aerodynamic design has been evident through his involvement in projects covering aerodynamics, aircraft performance, structures, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Aaron's extensive skill set includes proficiency in various software such as CATIA V5 R20, NeiNastran, Femap 10.1.1, Ansys Fluent, VLAERO, Tecplot 360, Simulink, Matlab, and more. He is also fluent in languages English and French and holds licenses as a Private Pilot and Glider Pilot.
Throughout his career, Aaron has held roles at esteemed organizations like OGARAJETS, Gulfstream Aerospace, Embraer US, and Dassault Falcon Jet. His background encompasses sales engineering, product development, project management, and teaching assistance in aerospace engineering.
