Holly Peck is a rising star in the field of creative technology and artificial intelligence. She has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology - Material + Visual Culture from Princeton University and a background in advanced AI/robotics and cognitive computing. Currently serving as the Director of Creative Services at Soul Machines, a company that specializes in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) solutions, she leads a global team of engineers, designers, and linguists who work on building the future of conversational AI for embodied machine agents. Prior to this role, Holly was the Director of HRI at a humanoid robotics company, where she crafted AI-powered cognitive architecture for humanoid robots and also conceived intellectual property (IP) essential for the future of ethical human-robot interaction. With a passion for creativity, she founded Women Who Code Vancouver, a community that rose up to 2300 tech experts within a span of three years. Her groundbreaking work in the field of AI has been recognized by Microsoft multiple times, and she was named a 2018 BC Business 30 Under 30 awardee. Holly's projects draw inspiration from various areas of interest including human and machine learning, robotics and embodiment, and memory and ritual. In her free time, she experiments with polyphonic synthesizers, develops 35mm films, and releases synth-pop music under the name NUIT.
