Takashi Okita is a prominent figure in the Japanese fintech industry. He is the CEO of Nudge, a challenger bank disrupting the traditional banking industry in Japan. Prior to this, Okita served as the CEO of SBI Ripple Asia, a joint venture between SBI and Ripple, where he played an instrumental role in the adoption of distributed financial technology across Asia.
Okita is widely known for his leadership at VeriTrans Inc., where he co-founded and served as CEO. Under his leadership, VeriTrans became a $10B GPV payment company and expanded across Asia. Okita is also recognized as one of the youngest CEOs among public companies in both the JASDAQ and Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
In addition to his current role at Nudge, Okita is the Chairperson of the Fintech Association of Japan, a former partner at Mind Fund, and a board member at Ripple. He has served in various council and advisor roles in both public and private organizations, including the Japanese government.
Okita was elected as one of the "100 people to change Japan" by Nikkei Business in 2014. He holds a B.A. in Management from Hitotsubashi University.
