Rama Karipineni is an accomplished business professional with extensive experience in the healthcare industry. She acquired a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Kansas in 2003 and then pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, graduating in 2008. She began her career as a Pharmacist in Charge for Walgreens in Kansas City, Missouri, where she reviewed medication orders, managed pharmacy staff, and ensured compliance with federal and state regulations.
Rama then became a Clinical Pharmacist at Truman Medical Centers where she worked on various projects, including implementing a new medication reconciliation process and developing protocols for medication management. She also served as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. In 2013, Rama was promoted to Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Operations at Truman Medical Centers, where she oversaw the Clinical Pharmacy team and was responsible for developing and implementing new programs to improve patient outcomes.
In 2017, Rama moved to the west coast and joined Sutter Health as a Clinical Pharmacy Program Manager. In this role, she was responsible for developing and implementing clinical pharmacy programs in various hospital settings. She collaborated with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication therapy management and safe transitions of care.
